Voormalig Britse Lagerhuis-voorzitter Bercow stapt over naar Labour

John Bercow, de voormalige voorzitter van het Britse Lagerhuis namens de Conservatieve partij, is overgestapt naar de Labour-partij, meldt The Guardian. De voormalig politicus noemt de partij waarvoor hij tot 2019 tien jaar ‘speaker’ was in gesprek met de krant “populistisch, nationalistisch en soms zelfs xenofoob”.
